Children’s Discovery Museum, Augusta, Maine

Do you have a child that wants to build something all the time? Then bring them to the Children’s Discovery Museum where they can go to the Engineering/Construction/Transportation Exhibit and learn all about the process of building. They can explore the world of drafting or engineering. Maybe they want o be running a survey crew or design roads to get them where they want to go. This exhibit will be just perfect for them and a relief for you!

If you child enjoys music then the Multi Cultural Center is for them. The opportunity to play the African drums or learn about a tambourine will keep them happy for a little while anyway.

There is also a reading room where they can sit back with a book and read about all the exciting things between the covers. It is also a comfortable room for Mom and Dad.

Your Maine vacation may be filled with wonderful sites and adventures but a trip to the Museum may be the best part of the trip for your kids.
