It’s another birthday party for your kid! As the day is fast approaching, you find yourself searching for ways to make the celebration extra special more than your child had in his previous birthdays. But you know that you are not the expert in planning a birthday party, every time you plan a birthday party you are back to frustrating moments again.
If you want to plan a birthday party, it’s not difficult, I give you some some tips to make the birthday party as wonderful and memorable the way you planned it to be.
Brainstorming of Party Ideas
You may want to do some brainstorming to come up with some ideas for the birthday party. It will be good to do it with your children. If you’re going to celebrate a first birthday party for your only child, get ideas and inspirations from other family members and friends. You can begin asking for their ideas and inputs in making everything as organize as possible. Remember, birthday party planning is not one person’s effort, it requires help from everyone.
Provide a Checklist
Once you are done with brainstorming, you need to look for party supplies. From the cake, foods, refreshments, venue, number of people; they must be included in your checklist. Having a notebook will help you to make the planning organized. If you plan for an event, writing down the nitty-gritty will play a big role in your planning stage. This is also the time where you can weigh things properly. If you want a special cake for the party, you can compare prices and list cake prices down on your checklist. This will facilitate in coming up with a well thought out particulars in your child’s party. Lastly, if you don’t want to miss a single detail for the big day, providing a checklist will contribute a big difference.
The Invitations
The next important thing to look at is the guests invitation. If you’re holding a kid’s party, guests mostly involves little children the same age as your child accompanied by their parents or guardians. With this, you need to count in the number of people that will accompany a child in the party. But you can just provide one invitation for each child. Make sure that you also give the invitation at least 2 weeks before the party, ideally at least one month in advance. This will give guests the chance to arrange their schedules and spend time with your child’s birthday bash.
The Birthday Party Itself
Just when you thought the planning stage is through the moment the party is being held, it doesn’t. The actual party will be the execution of your plans. To plan a birthday party means to be in constant monitor of the entire event until it comes to an end, do not panick if anything goes wrong. If you have planned for emergencies you shouldn’t worry too much.
To plan a birthday party can be difficult, but all your effort and hard work will be worthwhile when you see your child gleam with joy.

What Really Caused the Great Extinction?
My nose started twitching even before I set foot outside the airport in Beijing.
While not quite hot, the air was thick. Thick with white fluff the size of grapes. “What is that?” I asked our driver, Mr.Guan, as he steered the car onto the highway.
“It’s pollen. From those trees,” he pointed to the rows of tall poplars lining either side of the road. “They’re a problem. People feel worse because of it.”
I started digging in my bag for antihistamines. “This morning, I had to wipe the car off,” he continued. “It covers everything and gives people all sorts of allergies.”
Sex change for trees?
Guan isn’t the only one fed up. This spring, Beijing’s government has decided to try out “sex change operations” on the female species of poplars, in an effort to prevent them from producing pollen. More than 300,000 poplar trees grow in the capital.
The leve of poplar pollen is especially high this season, worsening Beijing’s air quality – already under assault from industrial pollution and sandstorms – and adding further grief to residents who suffer from allergies or asthma.
Local news reports this weekend said gardening experts successfully injected the first batch of female poplars – about 30,000. Officials agreed on this unusual experiment after concluding it was a better option than spraying chemicals or cutting the trees down.
China is no slouch when it comes to climate engineering. In fact, it seems determined to wrestle Mother Nature to the ground.
The government routinely seeds clouds to create rainfall, and earlier this month Chinese scientists claimed to have created artificial snow in northern Tibet for the first time, amid growing concerns over the Tibetan Plateau’s melting glaciers.

WRESTLING MOTHER NATURE IN BEIJING
A new study shows that the poisonous gases coming from the ocean may have not triggered the world’s greatest mass extinction. The world lost about 90% of the ocean species and 70% of its land species 251 million years ago, when the Permian period came to an end.
Scientists suspect that the high levels of hydrogen sulfide and methane in the atmosphere might be the ones responsible for poisoning creatures at that time.
“Toward the end of the Permian, we had a warming climate with much more carbon dioxide than today, ocean circulation was extremely sluggish, and the oceans became anoxic—essentially deprived of oxygen,” explained geobiologist and study co-author David Beerling from the University of Sheffield in England.
A computer simulated the conditions from the Permian period, experimenting with different concentrations of hydrogen sulfide and methane to see what happened in each case.
“We found some interesting things going on with ozone chemistry, but we didn’t find any evidence that hydrogen sulfide and methane triggered a collapse of the ozone layer. These are chemicals produced mainly at the tropics that oxidize [and thus neutralize] ozone-destroying pollutants, ” Beerling said

Other than a new coat of paint, there is just no easier nor more cost-effective way to completely change the look of many rooms in your home than to add some new cushiony comforts with a few casually placed and thoughtfully selected decorative throw pillows.
I have had three sofas in my life over the last decade or so, but you’d think I redecorated my living room monthly. What’s my secret? Among my collection of personal home décor items are about 40 beautiful decorative throw pillows that suit my changing moods, changing seasons, and ever-changing mind! Whenever I get bored with the look of my room, which is about as often as I get bored with my wardrobe, I just change it all up super-quick by rearranging my decorative throw pillows and by playing around with the different colours, textures, shapes, arrangement, and styles available at FashionWindowTreatments.com.
My sofa is truly a one-of-a-kind conversation piece, like a chameleon. It’s the cozy center of our home’s comfort and the place for all of us to come together, talk, play Scrabble, or snuggle up under a soft blanket. Your sofa, too, can add sparkling new life to the same-old-same-old whenever you redecorate this easy way. I like to call it “pillorating”. Allow me to elaborate upon my easy schemes.
I have been accumulating decorative throw pillows for many years now. It’s much cheaper than buying new furniture, and it’s so much fun! Some of my good stand-bys are in solid colors that coordinate easily with all sorts of patterns. I have several classic damask prints, some in silk, some with fancy beaded borders, corduroys, satin, and even a leopard print one that is reversible with solid black on the other side. I combine new with vintage, and the latest patterns with Granny’s floral cross-stitch. It’s an eclectic masterpiece! This same concept can be used in other areas of the home, such as the dining room using chair seat cushions or the bathroom by changing the patterns on your extra long shower curtains.
My favorite decorative throw pillow of all is in gorgeous black velvet, appliquéd with red roses and bright green velvet leaves that set off the red and draw the eye as a good work of art will do. This decorative pillow adds so much texture to our otherwise ordinary, somewhat drab sage green velour sofa. And it cost a fraction of the price of a new piece of art!
I move my pillows from sofas to chairs, and even toss them in pile on the floor for some extra fun seating! Sometimes I use the sofa pillows upstairs on the bed. And when guests come to stay, I do up the guestroom, getting creative by designing a haven of delight for our houseguests. All with decorative throw pillows! I try to choose shapes and styles I know will suit the tastes of our guests, and it always works!
I get excited just thinking about all the combinations of looks that are achievable by simply adding a few new decorative throw pillows to your home’s collection. When you tire of them, simply store your decorative throw pillows in plastic until it’s time for a change again. And then, when you bring them back out later, you’ll love all the looks they offer all over again!
Recently I have begun thinking about decorative throw pillows yet again, because I bought a mid-century Danish modern, low-riser sofa in turquoise and teak. Sounds like a hard thing to work into your room’s décor without having to start from scratch, right? Nope! All I need is ONE colour to tie it all together, and I can achieve this by finding decorative throw pillows with turquoise beads, piping, or fabric. Voila! A whole new room that’s all tied together! It’s going to look so designer chic. I can’t wait to find that next perfect decorative throw pillow at FashionWindowTreatments.

Do you believe in aliens? That life from another planet far away came to Earth to begin life anew. For some, this is an explanation of global warming. Beings from another world found themselves faced with the global catastrophe of global warming and their environment began to fail.
They packed their bags and traveled to our planet. Is this fact or is it fiction? No one knows for sure. The global warming debate is present in our news and media but whether or not it has something to do with planet-traveling aliens may be something for the Sci-Fi Channel.
the effects of global warming
It is all around us. It is on the weather stations. It faces us when we decide to purchase a new car or even a cleaning product. The real issues come when trying to learn about global warming. There is a lot of conflicting information on the internet and there is not one group that can agree on all aspects of the global warming climate change debate.
The first thing that can be agreed on is that global temperatures have risen over the past century. Granted, the rise in temperature has been only a degree or so but the issue is whether or not the temperatures of the Earth will continue to rise and the exact effect it will have on the environment. The debate about reduce global warming comes from conflicting evidence within the past.
Science has proven that global warming also occurred in or around prehistoric times. It is thought that a global catastrophe such as a meteor impacting Earth caused a temperature shift. Did it kill off the dinosaurs? Science does not know that this is factual.
Further complicating the issue about global warming is the political and industrial facets. These groups argue that there is not sufficient information about the effects of global warming to limit industrial emissions.
environment global warming
When will we know the full facts about global warming and will the global warming issue be resolved anytime soon? Unfortunately the answer is no. There will continue to be studies performed and there will always be a measure of doubt clouding the minds of citizens around the world.
Until that point, we must stay abreast of current studies and information and continue to do our part.
